Are you struggling to find the motivation to get through the week? Maybe you’re seeing 20+ clients trying to make ends meet. Being burnt out as a therapist has become a norm in the field that we are seeking to disrupt. This month we are inviting Burnout expert, Oumou Sylla to support us in dismantling burnout culture in the field of mental health. During this group, you’ll learn about the impacts of burnout on therapists, how we can prevent burnout, and establish a life of ease.

  • N'Deye Oumou Sylla is a Wellness Doula and NY licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Her work centers LGBTQ+ People of the Global Majority navigating traumas, relational stress/anxiety, body-mind related stress, burnout and more.

    Oumou believes it's important to be mindful of the ways we are impacted by Anti-Blackness, gender based oppression, ableism, capitalism, state sanctioned violence and other forms of systemic injustice. For this reason, and reasons connected to their identity as a Black, immigrant, queer femme her approach to her work is anti-racist and anti-oppressive. 

    In addition to their work as a therapist, Oumou is a writer, professor, speaker and creator. They also serve as a consultant on all things mental health, rest, gender, sexuality and anti-racism.

  • This group is solely for Black, Indigenous, and People of color who are in the field of mental health, counseling, & psychology. This includes LMHC, LPC, LMFT, LCSW, LMSW, Psychologists, Psychoanalysts, & clinical interns.

  • Rates are based on an anti-oppressive rate structure. Please answer the following questions to determine your rate structure. (Adapted from the Anti-Oppression resource & training alliance)
