I create space to heal, grow, and live authentically.

MY MISSION

To foster spaces of radical and authentic healing through consultation, therapy, and coaching services.

MY WORK IS…

Intersectional, affirmative, transformative, inclusive, anti-racist, and anti-oppressive.

 Background

Kenya Crawford (she/they/name), M.A., Ed.M, LMHC, is an award-winning therapist, racial equity consultant, and coach, creating healing and liberating spaces to dismantle oppressive systems. As the Founder & CEO of Cultivating Healers, Kenya supports therapists in building anti-racist, sustainable, and inclusive practices through CEU trainings, masterclasses, and coaching.

As a clinician and clinical supervisor, they specialize in working with QTBIPOC folks navigating trauma, depression, anxiety, and relationships (including non-monogamy and poly relationships). Kenya skillfully approaches counseling and supervision as a Black queer woman from a decolonized, anti-racist, and anti-oppressive lens aimed toward creating a collaborative and authentic space to foster radical holistic healing for clients.

Over the years, Kenya has been trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy, Narrative therapy, and Anti-Racist psychotherapy. In conjunction with her work as a therapist, Kenya has previously served as a Faculty member in the Department of Counseling and Clinical Psychology at Teachers College, Columbia University.

Kenya has been honored by FX Networks, awarded the Hinge Mental Health Advocate of the Year Award, and the 40 Under 40 award by Black Health Con for her contributions to the field of mental health. Her work has been featured in The Huffington Post, Essence, Mindbody Green, and POPSUGAR, among others. Outside of her professional work, she is a Type-A Capricorn who loves her sleep, black coffee, and snuggling up with a good book.

Sponsor a Client

With a particular focus on anti-oppressive and anti-capitalistic forms of healing, I am accepting donations from our community to assist in sponsoring therapeutic services.

With your contributions, I will be able to provide low-cost/free therapy to clients who are disrupted by various forms of oppression including by not limited to, transphobia, anti-black racism, xenophobia, capitalism, sexism, and homophobia. On average therapy costs $150 per session. Gifts can be sent through this link. Gifts are not tax-deductible.

Looking for additional ways to support our work? You are welcomed to send gifts through my registry.
